12 Mar OrganoVIR gets together for Prepare Meeting
OrganoVIR started with a Prepare meeting on the 11th of January 2019 at the Volkshotel in Amsterdam. All beneficiaries and partners came together the evening before to celebrate the start of our ITN programme with drinks, while overlooking the Amsterdam skyline by night from the top of the Volkshotel. The official start of our programme happened the next day during the meeting itself, where we discussed preparations for the coming months.
Getting acquainted
OrganoVIR is composed out of 10 beneficiaries and 5 partners from various sectors, such as academics, industry as well as the governmental and non-profit sector. As our partners are located all over the world, the prepare meeting offered a great opportunity for them to meet face-to-face and to get to know one another. The day was filled with information sharing, exchanging of contact details and a video-making session. All the ingredients for a successful first meeting!
Main topics
During the prepare meeting various topics were discussed, ranging from finance to communications to our research projects. Also, our boards and committees were officially installed.
Recruitment
Throughout the meeting various action points were set up, which will be worked on in the next few months. Our main focus will be on recruiting talented and motivated master students for our 15 research projects. You can find more information about our research projects on our website.
Upcoming events
Our next event will be the Big Start Event, which will take place in September 2019. During this event our consortium will get together once again and will be formally introduced to the 15 PhD students who are recruited for our research projects.
