Joana Rocha-Pereira is a Research Associate in the laboratory of Prof. Johan Neyts, at the Rega Institute, KU Leuven (Belgium). Her research focuses on the replication of norovirus (and other diarrhea-causing viruses), aiming to develop efficient antiviral strategies. With this purpose, she has established a number of in vitro and in vivo model systems and will now, within Organovir, focus on gut organoids as platform for antiviral research. Joana will supervise ESR12.
