Juan Hou

About

 

Juan Hou has 15+ years of research experience in the field of developmental biology and respiratory research. Juan obtained her PhD in Developmental Biology from Osaka University, Japan, where she studied the gastrulation of the early mouse embryo, under the supervision of Dr. Hiroshi Hamada. Following this, Juan worked in the Terry Fox Laboratory of British Columbia Cancer Research Center with Dr. Pamela Hoodless, where her main focus was studying the formation, patterning and differentiation of definitive endoderm. She is now a Senior Scientist and Team Lead for Pulmonary Tissue Team in STEMCELL Technologies.

STEMCELL UK Ltd. (STUK) was established in July 2014. In 2016 STUK expanded its capabilities to include research and development (R&D) with staff located in laboratory space in Cambridge, UK, including fully functional laboratory space containing state of the art cell culture and analytical chemistry equipment as well as an ISO 13485-certified manufacturing clean room that is adopting single use technology and closed systems for manufacturing higher compliance media and culture reagents.
