Katja Wolthers featured in Proefdiervrij’s Most Recent Podcast

On the 26th of August, Proefdiervrij (Dutch Society for the Replacement of Animal Testing in English) launched its 5th episode of “Proefdiervrij de Podcast” which featured our coordinator, Katja Wolthers.

At Amsterdam UMC, Katja conducts research on viral infections using organoids, mini-organs grown with human stem cells. She has shown that research using organoids produces much more accurate results than animal research. In this podcast, Katja spoke about her journey while working on animal-free innovation and explained the OrganoVIR consortium.
